Recruiting criminal justice drugs workers with targeted campaigns
The following document and associated attachments are intended to provide you with a clear understanding of the tools, advice and insight available to you to support your recruitment of Criminal Justice Drug Workers.
The range of tools and selection process were designed and validated with a broad range of participants from the London pilot -Turning Point, Addaction, Westminster Drugs Project, Crime Reduction Initiatives and Community Drugs Project. Anchored within the broader competencies of the DANOS framework, the basis of the recruitment and selection tools were specifically designed to provide a fair, open, consistent and defensible framework to recruit CJIT Workers that were not necessarily already working within the Drugs Sector. As such, the range of tools provides the opportunity to equally evaluate candidates from all backgrounds, sectors and types of experience.
A variety of tools and selection processes have been included in the appendices of this report. You may find some or all of these useful when recruiting drug workers in your area. You may like to consider taking a ‘pick and mix’ approach, pulling out and using the tools that will be of particular use to you and allow you to meet your local needs.
